Preface:
The last thing I excepted to be writing is a poem Early Saturday morning! This weather however, snowfall and the wonderful gleam of orange light is enchanting. Ridiculous! (but enchanting !)
So here I am, with the following verse flowing out of my head–>onto index cards–>on to “electronic paper!”
The Orange Sky
Pale yet Vibrant
Teeming with life, yet Eerily Silent
As a young man stares into the placid night sky
Each unique flake of crystalline snow falling before his very eyes,
Each flake harnessing
its own limelight
Drawing on the heartstrings, and the gray matter
on a paradoxical notion:
The Complexity of Simplicity
The Brilliance, in the unique similarities of each singular flake
But as each flake compounds upon itself, something unique happens
A blanket of brilliance, exceeding the glow of the night sky
Reflecting the night’s brilliant radiance !
Since, The sum of the parts is trumped by the whole !
However, the beauty lies in artfully creating the parts,
and watching the Greatness unfold.
Momentum itself a beautiful thing; A Harmony with a beautiful sounding ring !
And This young man peels his stare away from the simplistic snow,
and knows he is uncertain of many things
But he does know there are two things he will behold :
Death will be his companion; A brother to the grave for he, the young man, is no nave
For he is also certain:
Great things have, are, and now, unfolded, unfolding, have unfolded!
And thus he smiles A beaming grin,
and All is well; and Well is undone
under The Orange Sky
